    Map of the Montenegrin coast

    Despite the fact that Montenegro is full of beauty, and you can easily find something to do for the whole summer or more, most of our compatriots prefer to relax exclusively on sea resorts. About the features of Montenegrin beach holidays, read the link.

    In this part of the post we will see where in Montenegro the popular coastal resorts, which have gained popularity among Russian tourists.

    Here are the main beach resorts:

    1. Tivat;
    2. Becici;
    3. Petrovac;
    4. Budva;
    5. Ulcinj.

    Tivat on the map

    Tivat is one of the youngest tourist cities. Among the features of this Montenegrin resort, it can be noted that the city is quickly catching up with lost time; tourism infrastructure. Along with new buildings, Tivat has several historical attractions.

    good transport accessibility, opens up great prospects for this resort. The city has an international airport, the Porto Montenegro yacht club, a bus station, and a highway.

    Becici on the map

    Next door to the noisy Budva (literally a 15-minute walk), there is a calm resort village Becici. The small town is located on the slope of a hill that goes down to one of the best beaches Montenegro. There are not many attractions in Becici, but they are interesting.

    A holiday at this resort is suitable for those who love peace and tranquility. Becici is especially good for tourists with small children, as the local beach is magnificent and the entrance to the water is smooth and smooth.

    Petrovac on the map

    The resort town of Petrovac is located 20 kilometers from the noisy and overpopulated Budva; tourists come to this resort for a family vacation.

    Budva on the map

    Budva is located in the very center of the Montenegrin coast. If you are staying at this resort, it will allow you to travel around the whole country on public buses (link. detailed instructions on the use of Montenegrin buses), and you can return to your hotel every day.

    1. On the Budva Riviera;
    2. On the Hercegnovskaya Riviera (Boko Kotor Bay);
    3. Beaches of New Bar;
    4. On the Ulcinj Riviera.

    Montenegro has a long coastline, the country has more than 70 kilometers of the Adriatic coast, where you can find a beach to suit every taste and budget.

    There are several types of beaches in the country: sandy (often with imported sand), small and large pebbles (the most common), rocky (it is better to have special shoes to enter the water).

    Let's look at the map and see that it is convenient to group the beaches according to their location. We will divide the entire coast into several areas: the Budva Riviera, the Hercegnovskaya Riviera (Bay of Kotor), the beaches of New Bar, and the Ulcinj Riviera.

    Beaches of the Budva Riviera

    The beaches of the Budva Riviera should be found in the very center of the map. In Budva and its surroundings, sand and pebble beaches predominate, some of them with rocky areas, but in tourist season There are no free places on any beach in Budva. You can walk along all the beaches of the Budva Riviera (from Budva to Sveti Stefan) using the link.

    There are several popular beaches on the Budva Riviera: Lucice (Petrovac), Sveti Stefan, Morgen, Jaz and Ploce beaches. During the tourist season, all the beaches from Budva to Sveti Stefan are very popular, but the entrance to some costs astronomical money (from 100 Euros and above).

    Beaches of the Herzegnov Riviera

    The best beaches of the Boko Kotorska Bay are located on the Hercegnov Riviera, it is located near the border with Croatia (from Herzen Novi to the Croatian Dubrovnik is only 50 kilometers). It should be taken into account that in Herceg Novi and throughout the Bay of Kotor, no open sea, this is a bay with all the attendant pros and cons.

    Beaches on the Herzegnov Riviera, as in most places in Boko Kotor Bay, rocky areas are not very convenient for swimming, and sometimes even dangerous. In the most tourist places The shore of the bay is simply poured into concrete, and one must enter the sea along a ladder, as if it were a swimming pool.

    This sounds crazy, but all these inconveniences are perfectly compensated by the picturesque views. If you look at the photographs of the concrete beaches of Herceg Novi, it seems like nothing, but this is a matter of taste.

    Beaches of New Bar

    On the map, the city of Bar should be found south of Budva; it is located between the resort of Petrovac and the city of Ulcinj.

    On the coast of Bar there are several good beaches, mostly sand and pebbles, there is even a tiny beach with red, coral sand. But it should be remembered that New Bar is major port and not the best place for a beach holiday.

    Beaches of the Ulcinj Riviera

    Ulcinj is easy to find; on the map it is located on the border with Albania. It is believed that Ulcinj is the warmest place, both on the sea and on land. The water off the coast warms up faster than in other places, it’s all about the bottom topography (it’s flat here) and the dark shade of the sand (the sand is of volcanic origin).

    This is where it is located

    is a rather unique country, with its own rules and laws. Montenegro is an incredibly beautiful natural resource that is unconditionally protected by the state. This unique country, the only country where there are no industries that harm natural resources, but there are four nature reserves and almost the entire territory of the country is protected by UNESCO.

    Today in Montenegro it is fashionable to relax in villas that are designed for a wonderful vacation.

    The following resorts are always hospitable and welcome to tourists: Becici is a small town on the Adriatic coast. It is on the beaches of Becici that the most luxurious hotels in Montenegro are located. Budva is the so-called capital of tourism in Montenegro. This city is famous as historical monuments, as well as modern beaches and bays. Herceg Novi is a town where you can not only relax, but also improve your health.
