Day 3: Carnival in Acireale

In the morning, check out from the hotel and move to the city of Acireale, where one of the most famous carnivals in Italy takes place.
On the way, a stop at the sea coast to explore the Cyclops Islands, which, according to legend, arose from fragments of a cliff thrown at Odysseus by the angry Cyclops Polyphemus.

Free time. Transfer to Taormina. Hotel accommodation. Dinner.

Breakfast in the hotel. Free day or optional excursion to Taormina for 4 hours, including free time.

Day 8 (Sunday). Catania - Moscow
Breakfast in the hotel. Airport transfer. Check-in. Flight to Moscow.

Day 1 - Sunday

Departure by charter flight. Arrival at Catania airport. Meeting with an accompanying person under the sign “NTC INTOURIST / NORMA VACANZE”. Group transfer to a hotel on the coast near Taormina. Hotel accommodation. Free time. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel. (*) You can order an individual transfer. When ordering a transfer, a driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign (with your last name) and the car will take you to your hotel in the Taormina area.

Day 2 - Monday

Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to Etna, the highest mountain in Sicily and the highest volcano in Europe (3340 m): the bus will take you to the Silvestri Craters at an altitude of approximately 1900 m. The further journey, if desired, for an additional fee (63 euros), can be done by cable car and by jeep (2.5 hours). On the way back, stop for a tasting. Departure to Taormina - an amazing and unique city of arts. A walk along the main historical street of the city with the opportunity to see magnificent buildings: Palazzo Corvaja and much more. Visit to the second largest Ancient Greek Theater (entrance ticket for an additional fee of 10 euros). Accommodation at a hotel in the Taormina area. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel. *Closed and comfortable shoes are required.

Day 3 - Tuesday

Breakfast in the hotel. Meeting with an assistant. In the morning, a visit to the city of Catania: a visit to the Cathedral, where the relics of the city’s heavenly patroness - St. Agatha, rest, a walk through the streets of the Baroque city, a city of contrasting black and white colors, the Elephant Fountain, University Square. Free time. Next, an excursion around the city of Syracuse: visiting the Archaeological Park (entrance ticket for an additional fee of 10 euros), the Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Ear of Dionysius cave, the island of Ortygia - the ancient city center with unique cathedrals (ticket cost 2 euros) and the springs of Arethusa. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Wednesday

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Agrigento. A self-guided visit to the Valley of the Temples is one of the most precious treasures of Greek archeology in Italy. Here you can see: Temple of Juno, Temple of Concordia, Temple of Hercules, Temple of Jupitrea, Temple of Hera and Juno (surcharge €10). Return to Palermo. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 - Thursday

Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion offered: Erice – Marsala (surcharge €45). Departure to Erice, a medieval town on top of Monte San Giuliano. Walk around the city, where you can admire the Norman Castle and the Temple of Venus. Next, transfer to Marsala and stop for photography at Laguna Stagnone, a nature reserve. Free time for photo engraving or the opportunity to travel independently by boat to the island of San Pantaleo, an island that is part of the Stagnone Archipelago. The ancient Phoenician settlement of Motia was located on the island. (extra charge for boat €5, entrance ticket €10). Opportunity to visit Villa Whitaker, on the territory of which the Motiya Museum is located. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 - Friday

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Montreal: sightseeing ancient Cathedral(entry costs €3 extra): golden Byzantine mosaics from the 12th century. Optional visit to the Benedictine monastery courtyard (for an additional fee). Then transfer to Palermo, the capital of the island, a sightseeing walking tour of the city: the Cathedral (entrance tickets and headphones for an additional fee), Piazza Pretoria, Martorana Church (outside), Massimo Theater, Via Maqueda, “I Quattro Canti”, Politeama Theater, opera. Further exploration of the city will continue along the winding streets ancient city Where are the city markets located? You will visit one of them "Capo" and, if you wish, you can also try typical Palermitan dishes (for an extra charge of € 10). Day 7 - Saturday

Breakfast in the hotel. Free day. Excursion offered (surcharge €25): Taormina Sea Experience. A boat trip along the coast of Taormina, where you can see the crystal clear sea and picturesque caves: the Blue Grotto and the Cave of Lovers, with the opportunity to swim in the waters of Isola Bella Bay, the boat will offer soft drinks and fruits. The boat trip continues to the Gulf of Mazzaro and the Bay of Mermaids. Boarding a boat in the bay of Giardini Naxos. – Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 - Sunday

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Catania airport. Departure or transfer to a hotel on the coast for further relaxation.
