tulip tree

Tulip liriodendron is a natural monument in the village of Golovinka, on the banks of the Shakhe River. The height of the tree is about 30 meters, the diameter of the trunk is 3 meters, i.e. this is the largest tulip tree in Russia. The tree blooms in May with yellow tulip-like flowers. The tree was planted in 1840 by the commander of the Black Sea coastline General Raevsky.

Volkonsky dolmen

Dolmens are megalithic structures made of huge stones. The age of this dolmen dates back to the 2nd-3rd millennium BC. The dolmen chamber is carved through a small hole in the huge sandstone. Width – 8 m, length – 17 m. Near the dolmen there is mineral spring hydrogen sulfide water and the rock “Two Brothers”.
