Saving on pushers
Cross-functional projects are being actively implemented at Privolzhskaya
Cross-functional are those improvement projects in the development of which representatives of several related farms are involved. Such technologies are the future! The Volga Railway realized this earlier than other highways.
The fact is that the economic effect from the implementation of one large project, in contrast to a local one, is measured not in thousands, but in millions of rubles.

– I encourage everyone to henceforth think first of all not about the number of improvement projects developed, but about their quality. We don't need quantitative “records”! - said Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice President of Russian Railways, at the latest network video conference on the implementation of lean production technologies in the car departments, the Central Directorate of Infrastructure and the Central Directorate of Traffic Control.

It is significant that about the same thing, only two months ago, was said by the chief engineer of the Volga Railway, Alexander Smorodin, after announcing the results of the competition “The best unit in the project “Lean Production at JSC Russian Railways” based on the results of 2013.” Let us remind you that then in the nomination “Best Railway» The Volga Railway took one of the last places only because the commission of JSC Russian Railways assessed the number of improvement projects, and not their quality. The Volga residents are doing well with the second indicator, so it is possible that this year we will be among the winners. The road has every chance for this!

As reported in the design and technology bureau, since January 2014, several large cross-functional projects have already been implemented at the Privolzhskaya training ground, the most significant of which is “Optimization of train work with “pushers” on the Sennaya – Balakovo section.” The most important thing is that in addition to the traction directorate, the motion control directorate is involved in its development. The implementation of this joint project alone will save more than four million rubles a year!

“This project emerged as a result of scientific research by the central working group at the Sennaya station,” explains one of the developers, head of the production and technical sector of the Sennaya locomotive depot, Mikhail Kindsvater. – In a nutshell, our proposal is to use the so-called non-stop uncoupling of pushing locomotives from the tail of the train at the Volsk-2 station. In addition to us, the locomotive workers, movers and carriage workers are also involved in this project.

The idea to optimize the operation of locomotives on the Balakovo – Volsk-2 section appeared last year. Today, nudging on this section is carried out as follows: auxiliary locomotives cling to both the head and the tail of the pushed train. After arriving at the Volsk-2 station, the “pusher” is uncoupled from the train, after which the auto brakes are tested there, and only after all the necessary procedures have been carried out, the uncoupled locomotive moves onto another track, and the train moves on without an auxiliary locomotive. Each time, all these standard procedures take about 30 minutes.

– Losing time is not the only problem. It is simply impossible to stop trains weighing more than 5,200 tons at the Volsk-2 station to uncouple the “pusher,” says Vasily Khozyaykin, deputy head of the design and technology bureau. – After making all the necessary changes to this technological process, pushing will look like this: the “pushers” themselves, as before, will be located at the head and tail of the train, but pushing from the tail will be carried out without connecting the brake line. As a result, the uncoupling will be carried out while moving, so the need for a forced stop at the Volsk-2 station will disappear by itself.

This technological solution will help save not only time and fuel and energy resources, but also the wage fund of locomotive crews and carriage workers. In addition, downtime of pushed trains at the Volsk-2 station is eliminated.

But for now, this is all theory. To bring this cross-functional project to life, it remains to carry out the necessary experimental tests on this section of the track using a traction-energy laboratory car. After which it will be possible to talk about replicating the new approach to organizing work at other stages.

About 3,800 people permanently live here, and holiday season about 50,000 come. In addition beach holiday, the village is famous for its medicinal algae, which, like mud, is usually applied to the body. There is a large winery and an archaeological research center here. Holidays in Sennoy are, first of all, interesting for those who would like not only to spend all their time on the beach, but also to undergo wellness treatments. The resort is considered especially preferable for couples with small children.

The history of the village began back in the days Ancient Greece, as evidenced by the ruins of Phanagoria, the largest ancient settlement in Russia. A Russian settlement appeared here on July 5, 1794 with the construction of the postal station “Urochishche Sennaya Balka”. The first inhabitants of the village were the Cossacks of the Kanevsky kuren. Over time, the name changed, adapting today to a shorter form - Sennaya.

Things to do

When coming to Sennaya on vacation, you must, in addition to the beach, visit at least three main attractions:

Visit the ancient settlement of Phanagoria. These are, in fact, the ruins of an ancient Greek settlement, which are partly on the surface and partly underwater. They are also called Russian Atlantis. Not thoroughly studied or researched. A large archaeological center is being created in the village. But any vacationer can try his luck here and find interesting artifacts.

Winery "Fanagoria". The winemaking enterprise of the same name is known far beyond Russia. Wine recipes dating back to Ancient Greece are used here. Beaches

The beaches in Sennoy are sandy, but artificial. Every year at the beginning of the season, local authorities fill the coast with fresh sand brought from the mainland. In the wild, the coast and bottom along the coastline are heavily covered with algae. They are therapeutic, like mud and silt, but they interfere with normal swimming, so on equipped beaches they are dealt with by constantly removing them. The central village beach is fully equipped; the vast majority of visitors prefer to relax there. Wild beaches suitable either for medical procedures (thalassotherapy) or for diving beyond the coastal line of algae.
