Rehana Royal Beach Resort & Spa – Reviews. Rehana Royal Beach Resort & Spa – Reviews Rehana sharm resort 5 sharm el sheikh

Egyptian redneckness is progressing.
This is probably my first such negative review of hotels. But somehow I really don’t want people to buy into a high rating. This rating is completely unjustified.

First, the good stuff.

So, the territory is large, beautiful, green. This cannot be taken away. and the territory is really top five.
There are many different pools, there are slides for those who love water parks. In terms of cleanliness - it seems clean enough, they can’t find fault. We didn't spend much time in the pools, so no complaints.
The sea is beautiful. The red flag didn’t bother us in the morning; we looked at the fish from the shore and simply basked in the warm water in the shallows. There were always enough sun loungers, the beach was quite spacious.

Now the controversial points.

The room stock is tired, but I never paid attention to this, there is somewhere to spend the night, there is a shower - it’s not critical for me. BUT! there is a big BUT! It is difficult to get the staff to provide you with bed and towels. Nice requests and smiles won’t win you over; you need to immediately demand and “pound the table with your fist.” For four people we were accommodated in a room with two single beds. Yes, you can fit children on them, but there are four of us in the voucher!!! I suspect this is a calculation that we will agree to upgrade the room category. They did not agree, I was quite satisfied with the standard, and the issue was not the price of the surcharge. We just booked the standard initially, realizing that this was enough for us. I had to find out the moment at the reception. We were moved to a room with a sofa at no additional cost. But the sofa was not made, and there were only two sets of towels in the bathroom. The reception desk nicely writes down your requests, smiles and waves, but does nothing!!! They did it only when I arrived at the reception like a fury and stopped asking and started yelling (this is usually not typical for me).

Restaurants - well, I read many people complain about the food. To be fair, the food is not ultra. (I still think what do tourists get who take the Ultra concept?))) The food is completely ordinary, no frills. Chicken, liver, fish, side dishes, vegetables, some fruits, lots of desserts. We weren’t hungry, there was always something to eat, but no one even tried to pamper us with delicacies. But, in fairness, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of French fries in the main restaurant and the variety of types of potatoes on the side. This made me happy. Those who wanted fast food had lunch in the food court with a standard set of hamburgers, fries, pizza and other delights.
I can say that there are no special complaints about the food. Complaints about the staff, who actually gave out pieces of meat, but I’ll chalk this up to the redneckness of the Egyptians)

Alcohol - they drank mostly only beer from alcohol. As everywhere else - diluted) Bartenders - mostly the majority are rednecks and boors. It feels like they are doing us a favor by serving us. It’s annoying at times, we tried not to get hung up on it.

Animation - it is no more than it is. During the day, the standard set is gymnastics, belt dancing, darts, etc. We didn’t take part ourselves, we saw what was happening near the pool with a bar. In the evening - a show (usually a comedy club of a primitive level a la Egypt-Turkey), live music in a bar near the fountain or karaoke. Light animation, I would say. Party on the beach - dancing with drinks. Children's animation - I can't say anything about the mini-club, we didn't go, we preferred to spend time on the beach. But mini-disco for us personally is just a mind-breaker. If nothing changes, kids who love to dance will be bored! It is carried out in the format - “Hello! What is your name? Where did you come from? What will you show us?” Just a show of talent. Even more fun is “let’s count to three... in English! in Ukrainian! in Japanese!” And the culmination of the show is a fun game of hats to music, where the older children openly break the rules, and the younger ones actively drop out because the older ones are smarter. The word disco means, at best, three dances! I won’t argue, maybe children like it. But our children were disappointed and upset. I have nothing against showing the talents of children, but this show program can be transferred to a kids club.

Reception - I already said that they listen, nod, smile, but do nothing! It’s some kind of nightmare, how lazy they are, how rude they are to us. By the way, if you go on an excursion on your own, not from a guide, be prepared for the fact that you will have to break out your lunch box. At the reception you will be told meekly that only a guide can order a lunch box. But if you start to get angry, like me, they will ask you for the required number of breakfasts, check-out time and room. But at the appointed time there may also be no packages of food, and miraculously your number will not be on the list for issuing breakfast on the excursion!) They play by their own rules, and hotel guests are like an extra burden for them. I can say that this is what influenced the attitude towards the hotel the most. This dishonesty, disrespect for tourists, unwillingness to work in principle and eternal rudeness! Although, I know for sure, this is not only the case in Rehan!

By the way, the guides are a different story))) All that rudeness, anger, scam about open and closed registration. But these are questions for the sending party, and not for the hotel.

To summarize, I can say - as a top five hotel, I categorically do not recommend the hotel. From the top five there is only territory. Everything else is 4, no more. Such a modest four. Whether to go or not, I would advise you to look at the price. At a reasonable price, it may be an option! but you don’t need to count on the full stuffing of 5* All inclusive. The rating is very high, which is alarming.

On the plus side: a fairly large area, well-groomed, there are two categories of rooms (old rooms and prestige - 30 percent more expensive), proximity to the airport.

Of the minuses:

The old buildings are a little “tired”, but not critical (the air conditioner is loud, the balcony rattles from drafts, the cladding is shabby, etc.), but they are cleaned cleanly;

Staff - they can be rude, they skimp on giving out food, they can get frostbitten if they ask for two pieces at once;

The alcohol is generally bad, it seems like everything was poured from the same barrel. There are 5 bottles on the bars: whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum and something else. And beer. Tequila tastes like whiskey, but is more diluted. Therefore, you practically don’t drink alcohol, you protect your health..);

The choice of food is poor, there is only one type of chicken, beef and fish, there are a lot of salads, but they are not labeled (it is not clear what is in them), the choice of fruit is minimal. But the choice of desserts is good..);

There are no juices at the bar at all, only carbonated drinks: Cola-Fanta-Sprite, etc.;

The beer on tap is normal, as is the white wine. You can't drink red - it feels like it was diluted with chlorinated water. But wine is served only at lunch and dinner and only in restaurants. There is nowhere else. At the bar, wine is only for extra. payment and in bottles only;

Toilets are closed wherever the location is on break. If you are coming from the beach and want to go to the toilet near a restaurant or bar on the way (and the restaurant or bar is not open yet), it turns out that the toilets there are also locked;

The animation is weak. There is nothing to do in the evening. Tourists either at the reception sit on the Internet or by numbers. There are few people on the territory in the evening;

The sea is also not very good. A long beach with shallow water (up to 0.5 m), and then a sharp cliff 20-25 meters deep. Flow. Evening and waves. The flag is either red (no swimming) or yellow (caution). I asked a local if there are cases when they hang green (calm water), he said that this does not happen. At the entrance to the pontoon there is a notice that children under 12 years old are prohibited from swimming from the pontoon;

I bought an Elisalat local communication card at the airport, it turned out that it did not receive an Internet connection on the hotel premises (although this is strange). I had to use roaming;

At the end of November, the hotel was at best half full, so the food was poor and the second restaurant was completely closed;

We bribed the slides (like Aquapark) and a large number of swimming pools. But it turned out that only two pools are heated, the rest are quite cold and it is very uncomfortable to swim in them for a long time. Frozen quickly with a child (

The summary is this: if you are on a short holiday for adults with the prospect of diving or freediving or going on excursions, then you can stay in this hotel. He won't have time to get bored.

Definitely not for families with children. Apart from the slides, there is no other entertainment for children.

P.S. By the way, there is one boorish Anex-Tour guide (Abdula) who works there, who during introductory meetings tries to sell various excursions for an hour. And in response to all objections or disagreement, listen for a long time and begin to express remarks like “Don’t teach me how to work,” “You are our guest, so listen to what they tell you.” And if this doesn’t work and the dialogue continues, then he pretends to be offended and defiantly asks you to leave the room, declaring that he will not work with you...
