The KHL judge was found at the airport with a broken head. An active KHL referee was found with a broken head at Sheremetyevo airport

As MK managed to find out, the emergency occurred on Friday afternoon. The carrier that carried passengers flying from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod(flight No. 1226), along the field to the plane's ramp, immediately after takeoff (the plane took off at 16.30) I inspected the cabin and on the rear platform I saw a man lying on his stomach. The passenger was unconscious and his head was bleeding. It turned out to be referee Pavel Komarov. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

As the wife of the hockey referee, Ekaterina, told law enforcement officers, the referee flew to Moscow from Riga, where he refereed the match between Dynamo Riga and Avangard with his colleague, referee Sergei Belyaev. At about 15.00 the judges landed at Sheremetyevo, from where Sergei left for the city, and Pavel was supposed to fly home to Nizhny Novgorod at 16.30. Ekaterina called him several times, according to her, she did not notice anything strange or suspicious in the conversation. In one of the conversations, Pavel told her that he met a colleague in the business lounge - the famous arbitrator Sergei Kulakov, with whom they talked from 15.35 to 15.50, and then the men separated, as they were flying on different flights.

The last time Pavel called was at 16.10 and said that he was already on the bus to board the plane. If he was with someone, he would certainly tell me. We agreed that when he arrives, he will call me and I will come to meet him,” Komarov’s wife told the police.

Having learned about the emergency, Ekaterina immediately went to Moscow, where on the spot, at the airport, she was informed that her husband had fallen and broken his head. According to the employees, Pavel was found unconscious after the flight. And it seemed strange to her.

Firstly, if he didn't board the departing plane, why weren't they looking for him? Then, if he didn’t fly, then his luggage (Komarov had a bag with hockey equipment) was supposed to fly to Nizhny Novgorod, but they gave it to me at Sheremetyevo. That is, it turns out that the bag was removed from the flight. And one more strange thing, my husband always flies business class, but for a business, the transfer to the plane is usually different. Why did he go on the big bus to the plane?

By the way, the doctors are not sure that Pavel tripped, fell and broke his head: the injury is incompatible with the injuries that doctors diagnosed for the referee. The judge has an open craniocerebral injury, previously received from a blow to the head with a blunt object. True, it is unclear how this could have happened on the bus and was not noticeable to other passengers.

The arbitrator's wife, Ekaterina, having learned all this, filed a statement with the police.

Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) referee Pavel Komarov, who suffered a broken head on October 27 on a bus on the runway at Sheremetyevo Airport, fell after being hit by passenger Denis Skvortsov. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.

Let us remind you that Pavel Komarov was found on the floor of the bus by the driver after unloading passengers near the plane. Eyewitnesses reported that during the route from the terminal to the board, the driver was called with a panic button several times. However, the journey was not long and he decided to get to his destination first. According to eyewitnesses, the referee was very drunk and harassed women, which caused him to have a conflict with one of the men. Economy class passenger Denis Skvortsov allegedly stood up for a girl who was being pestered by a drunken Pavel Komarov. After being hit in the jaw, the judge fell to the floor and hit his head hard. After the incident, Skvortsov flew to Nizhny Novgorod, he has not yet been detained, writes Mash. The referee is in the hospital in a coma.

Police are investigating the beating of Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) referee Pavel Komarov, who was found with a broken head on a Moscow airport bus. According to unofficial data, the judge was drunk and harassed women, for which he was hit in the jaw by one of the passengers and fell, receiving an open head injury.

In the case of the mysterious beating of Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) referee Pavel Komarov, who was found unconscious on a bus, new details are emerging. The media, citing eyewitness accounts, reported that Komarov was very drunk in the transfer and was annoyingly pestering women. One of the economy class passengers decided to defend the fair sex and dealt the referee a strong blow to the jaw, from which he fell from his own height, hitting his head powerfully on the floor. Witnesses of the incident claim that they tried to contact the bus driver with a panic button, but for some reason this was not possible. Why no one informed the driver about what happened immediately after the bus stopped remains to be determined by the investigation.

“Currently, employees of the Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District are carrying out a set of measures aimed at establishing what happened and the persons involved in it,” TASS quotes the press service of the Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District.

According to some information, law enforcement officers have already managed to identify the man who allegedly hit Komarov.

The suspect flew to Nizhny Novgorod, but is not going to hide from the police and may soon be summoned for questioning.

The injured referee is currently in hospital in serious condition - he has an open head injury, and at best he will recover in a few months. It is not known whether the doctors will allow him to go on the ice immediately after recovery: after all, hockey is a rather traumatic game, and no one is safe from an accidental collision. Most likely, the KHL will have to look for a new referee for the long term.

The incident that led to such unpleasant long-lasting consequences occurred on October 27, when Komarov was making a transfer at Sheremetyevo airport. The referee was heading to his native Nizhny Novgorod from Latvia after working at the KHL regular championship match between Dynamo Riga and Avangard Omsk.

According to his wife Ekaterina, before boarding the bus, Komarov was in normal condition, communicated with his colleague - the famous arbiter Sergei Kulakov - and often called her.

"IN last time Pavel called at 16:10 and said that he was already on the bus to board the plane. If he was with someone, he would certainly tell me. We agreed that when he arrives, he will call me and I will come to meet him.

If he didn't board the departing plane, why weren't they looking for him? Then, if he didn’t fly, then his luggage was supposed to fly to Nizhny Novgorod, but they gave it to me at Sheremetyevo.

That is, it turns out that the bag was removed from the flight. My husband always flies business class, and for a business the transfer to the plane is usually different. Why did he go on a shared big bus to the plane?” - Moskovsky Komsomolets quotes his wife as saying.

After Komarov was discovered on the bus, he was immediately taken to the hospital, which was announced to the public by KHL chief referee Alexey Anisimov.

“I can only talk about his condition with the permission of the family. The only thing I can say is that we won’t see him on the ice for several months,” Anisimov gave a gloomy forecast.

Some media outlets even wrote that Komarov was in a coma, but there was no official confirmation of this information.

We can only hope that the experienced referee, who has been officiating KHL matches since 2009, will still be able to return to duty - at least in six months. There were extremely few complaints against him as a judge: indignant interviews with hockey players or head coaches of clubs usually bypassed Komarov.

And although the most recent accusation of a referee for biased work occurred relatively recently (in September 2017, Lada forward Jiri Novotny said that he was unfairly sent off in a match with SKA), previous complaints against Komarov were made as far back as 2015: the Magnitogorsk Metallurg forward “Matt Ellison, who was playing for Dynamo Minsk at the time, described the work of Komarov and his colleague Yakov Deev as “not even at the level of junior leagues.” Quite rare criticism from players in a sport where fights and sending-offs constantly occur is an indirect sign of skill.

However, it’s not just the league’s referees who are worried about Komarov: when he was a hockey player, he managed to please the fans of Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, Togliatti Lada, Ufa Salavat Yulaev and St. Petersburg SKA with his performance.

So now news of his health condition is broadcast throughout the country. It remains only to find out whether the referee was really drunk at the time of receiving the blow and whether this will serve as at least some kind of justification for his possible offender.

The capital police are investigating the circumstances of the incident at Sheremetyevo Airport. Kontinental Hockey League referee Pavel Komarov was found there with a traumatic brain injury.

After refereeing the next game of the Continental Hockey League between Riga Dynamo and Omsk Avangard, which took place in Riga, referee Pavel Komarov returned home to Nizhny Novgorod in transit through Moscow. It is a fact. And the fact that the driver found Pavel Komarov unconscious on the bus in Sheremetyevo is also a fact. Further information from different publications is quite contradictory. Some claim that Komarov fell himself, lay on his stomach, and his head was bleeding. Others report that he got into an argument with someone on the bus and was hit in the face.

The traumatology department at the Khimki hospital confirmed that the patient, Pavel Komarov, was indeed admitted to them on Friday. However, on this moment He is no longer in the hospital, which means he is being discharged. “Now he’s not on the list, we don’t have him anymore,” the trauma department said.

According to the wife of Ekaterina Komarova, she called her husband several times while he was in Moscow and did not notice anything strange. The last time Pavel Komarov called and said that he was already on the bus to the plane. However, in a telephone comment, Ekaterina Komarova denied everything. “I don’t know how this is written. I have never given an interview to anyone. This is all very suspicious,” she said.

Now this case is being handled by the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District. The official positions of the League and the chief referee of the KHL agree on one thing - referee Pavel Komarov will not be on the ice in the next few months. “At the moment, referee Pavel Komarov is in the hospital and will not work at championship matches in the next month. Details about the referee’s health are a medical secret and cannot be made public without the consent of relatives. If public information appears, the KHL will post it on its official website The league wishes the experienced referee a recovery and hopes for his speedy return to work,” the KHL press service said.

“I don’t know any details yet, I can only confirm that he is in the hospital. I can talk about his condition only with the permission of the family. The only thing I can say is that we won’t see him on the ice for several months,” said the KHL chief referee Alexey Anisimov.

Meanwhile, the press service of Sheremetyevo Airport reported that on October 27, at 16:26, they received information about a passenger born in 1974, who, while en route to board the aircraft on a bus from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, fell and hit his head. At 16:28, airport doctors on duty were called. When paramedics arrived, the passenger was conscious. During the initial examination, doctors diagnosed a bruise in the occipital region and a state of alcohol intoxication, which was confirmed by a medical examination report.

The press service reported that the passenger was taken to the terminal's medical center, where he was provided with primary medical care. Due to non-arrival on board the aircraft, the passenger was “unchecked” and the baggage was removed from the flight in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations of the Russian Federation. At 18:15 the passenger was hospitalized at the Khimki City Hospital.

Pavel Komarov has been working as a judge since 2009. During this time, he refereed more than 270 matches as chief referee.

A well-known former hockey player who played for the Tolyatti Lada, the Ufa Salavat Yulaev and the St. Petersburg SKA, and now a referee of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), Pavel was attacked on the territory.

The judge was heading to his native Nizhny Novgorod after working at the KHL regular championship match between Dynamo Riga and Avangard Omsk. The meeting ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Latvians, and the only goal was scored in overtime by Finnish striker Anssi Salmela. The result, of course, surprised many hockey fans, given that Avangard is one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and the Riga team takes last place in the West, but there were no scandals, controversial refereeing decisions or high-pitched post-match showdowns. Nevertheless

The referee was seriously injured at the hands of unknown persons when he was making a transfer in Moscow - the driver found him lying unconscious, with a broken head, in a bus that was taking passengers to the plane.

Komarov was immediately taken to the hospital, as reported by the KHL chief referee.

“I don’t know any details yet, I can only confirm that Komarov is in the hospital. I can only talk about his condition with the permission of his family. The only thing I can say is that we won’t see him on the ice for several months,” Anisimov quotes.

The wife of the injured referee, Ekaterina Komarova, said that during telephone conversations with her husband she did not notice anything suspicious and could not even imagine who could have attacked him.

“The last time Pavel called at 16:10, he said that he was already on the bus to board the plane.

Why did he go on a shared big bus to the plane?” - quotes the words of the concerned wife "".

The judge’s wife also said that Komarov met his colleague, the arbitrator, in the business lounge, with whom they communicated before boarding the bus, but then separated because they had to fly on different planes. Thus, it is currently not possible to obtain information about Komarov’s possible offenders.

Doctors who are now caring for the victim are almost sure that he could not have simply fallen and injured his head: the resulting open head injury is much more serious and, most likely, was caused by a blunt object after a blow to the head from above.

The victim's wife has already stated that she is going to file a complaint with the police so that they conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.

Komarov has been officiating at KHL meetings as chief referee since 2009. During this time, players and head coaches of clubs expressed strong dissatisfaction with his work several times, but it cannot be said that complaints were regularly showered on the referee.

For example, on September 12, 2017, after a match with SKA, Lada forward Jiri Novotny said that he was unfairly sent off with the score 1:1 for four minutes, allowing the St. Petersburg team to tip the scales in their favor.

“I was removed by mistake 100 percent. And there was a maximum of two minutes. Of course, we didn’t lose because of this, SKA played better, but four minutes of minority at 1:1 is a lot. And in general, we played too often in the minority - ten times,” the hockey player said then.

Two years before this incident, Magnitogorsk Metallurg forward Matt, who was then playing for Dynamo Minsk, described the work of Komarov and his colleague Yakov Deev as “not even the level of junior leagues.”

“I don’t even know what to say... Have we done something wrong? This is just terrible work by the judges. There must be some kind of reaction, because this is not even the level of the junior leagues in Canada.

And we’re talking about refereeing in a professional league,” Ellison reasoned after meeting with Bratislava.

However, complaints about Komarov’s work appear extremely rarely - at least in public interviews with athletes and coaches, so it would be premature to say that he suffered due to some refereeing decisions.
