Bath Lake - Yakty-kul - in the Trans-Urals. Sanatorium Yubileiny

(Mauyzzi, Bashkir Yakti-kul - “bright lake”) - located on the border of the Chelyabinsk region and Bashkiria, the Ural River basin. Natural Monument (1965).

Lake surface area – 7.7 square kilometers, the length of the lake is 4170 meters, the average width is 1880 meters, the average depth is 10.6 meters, and the maximum reaches 28 meters (depth Lake Turgoyak or Lake Uvildy under 40 meters). According to hydrologists (more precisely, limanologists - people who study lakes), Bannoye is the most deep lake in Bashkiria. The great depths are explained by the tectonic origin of the lake.

The lake is located in the middle part of the Bashkir Trans-Urals between the peaks of Kutukai (664 m), Karanyalyk (620 m) and the spurs of the Yamankaya ridge, 28 km northeast of the village of Askarovo, the regional center of the Abzelilovsky district of Bashkortostan.

From the tops of the mountains a beautiful panorama opens up and you can count up to 12 lakes located next to each other. These are all fragments of the Ancient Ocean and some of them are salty (except for Banny). The water in the lake is fresh and clear. The banks are steep, steep in places, slightly sloping on the west. Several streams flow into the lake, and the Yangelka River, a right tributary, flows out of the lake Ural River. Natural beaches are rocky.

In the vicinity of the lake there are small rocky outcrops. For example, near the “Mountain Gorge” camp there is an unusual rock called the Devil’s Finger. In the 60-70s of the last century, the famous archaeologist Gerald Nikolaevich Matyushin worked here and discovered Neolithic sites. These are workshop sites that seem to be confined to jasper belt deposits that stretch for many kilometers. Wide outcrops of jasper circle the lakes, and all the sites of ancient people are strung on these veins.

People before us appreciated these picturesque South Ural places at least 50 thousand years ago.

About 20 sites are known on Bannoy. They are called workshops because jasper is a quality material popular among the ancients for making various tools. The craftsmen first chopped off flakes or knife-like plates from the core (a piece of arch. stone), then they made their own household consumer goods from them. And where jasper was found, the ancients experienced a stir. By the end of the Mesolithic, there were fewer raw materials and the cutting blades accordingly became small, and bronze was still far away.

The first names given local residents lake - Mauzzi - “bottomless, insatiable” or Ajakhaly, which means “lake in which a monster lives.” This name was associated with a legend that arose among the people, and is still chilling to this day. Legends that have come down to us from the depths of centuries tell that in ancient times the lake was surrounded by an impenetrable forest thicket, and it was ruled by a terrible monster, which regularly stirred up the water in a huge reservoir. The animals were afraid to approach the shores of the lake to drink - its owner was terrible in anger. Even the birds flying over the lake were pulled into its womb by the monster.

Another Bashkir name of the lake, known since the 16th century, is Yakty-kul, from the Bashkir “yakty” - “bright”. Thus, translated from Bashkir it is “Bright Lake”. Local residents associate this name with the melting of snow and ice. When the ice moves away from the shores, such a haze appears near the shore. Indeed, the lake is very transparent, visibility through the water is 10-12 meters. The water is fresh. And the sanatorium of the same name on the shore, built in Soviet times, specializes in mud therapy.

It’s interesting that the Bashkirs used to call it differently - Mauzdy-kul, translated as Lake-mouth. And if a fisherman swam to the middle and then did not return, then he was swallowed by some bull that no one saw.

The name “Banne” has been known in written sources since the beginning of the 18th century; it was under this name that the lake became known and popular among vacationers. However, the indigenous name has not disappeared - on the southwestern shore there is a village called Yakty-Kul, and in all media and reference books in the Bashkir language the lake appears under its “true” name.

Back in Soviet times, Bannoye Lake became famous for the all-Union resort "Yakty-Kul", also on its picturesque shores a sanatorium, a rest home, numerous smaller departmental rest houses, and pioneer camps were built. But the banks of Banny began to be built up with health resort buildings only in the late 1950s. Previously, this place was... an industrial area.

It all started with the fact that when Soviet power was established on the slopes of numerous surrounding mountain peaks Industrial logging began. Logging plots were built en masse in close proximity from the village of Kusimovo, and at a fairly decent distance, even beyond the Kryktytau ridge, that is, beyond the pass. In addition, there is still a village on Banny Lake with the unusual name Geologorazvedka. The village owes its name to a survey party that carried out a survey in the thirties of the last century. mining work in the area of Lake Bannoye for the presence of minerals.

The result was not long in coming: manganese ore was discovered in the pits! But the joy of geologists did not last long - the deposit turned out to be poor enough to conduct industrial development. And manganese mining at Banny was declared unprofitable.

In 1959, a station appeared in the village of Geologorazvedka railway. A branch line from the Magnitogorsk – Beloretsk railway line was built to Banny Lake.

The first holiday home on Lake Bannoye consisted of several sleeping buildings and a dining room. You could get from Magnitogorsk to this “Rest House” by a truck with benches along the sides, or less often by a relatively comfortable bus. There was no telephone connection with Magnitogorsk. Now, in the days of minibuses and mobile phones, this seems blatantly wild. In half a century, everything has changed on the banks of the Banny.

Now on the shores of the lake there are many recreation centers, sanatoriums, children's camps, mini-hotels and hotels. There are comfortable cottages, many of which are rented daily. You can stay there for a few days and have a great rest. Fans of “wild recreation” can find a place to set up a tent.

On the bank of Banny is located ski center "Metallurg-Magnitogorsk". Children will be interested in the nearby Dinosaur amusement park. Industry active entertainment it is developed here, perhaps, better than anywhere else in the Southern Urals. Many tourists come here all year round, and not only from the Urals. Particularly crowded on weekends.

On the shore of Lake Bannoe, at the foot of the Ural Mountains, framed by a mixed forest with a predominance of birch groves, is located a modern resort complex Southern Urals - sanatorium "Yubileiny" (t.792-95-03) .

You can relax and gain strength in the Berezki rest house.

Near Banny there is the famous Abzakovo ski center. In addition to skiing, Abzakovo has a water park and even an excellent zoo.

Fishing on the lake is prohibited.

In accordance with clause 30.1.1 of the Fishing Rules for the Volga-Caspian Fishery Basin, approved by Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia dated November 18, 2014 No. 453, fishing on the Nugush Reservoir, lakes Bannoye and Yuzhnoye Ulyandy, located in the Abzelilovsky district of the Republic of Belarus, is completely prohibited at any time. time of year, including from the shore

The creation of a huge recreational area on Bannoy is associated with the name of one of Stalin’s promoters - People’s Commissar of Heavy Industry of the USSR Sergo Ordzhonikidze. During the years of the first five-year plans, Comrade Sergo regularly visited the construction and workshops of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

One day, during his unexpected arrival in the middle of late at night, he found the entire management of the plant in the workshop. The People's Commissar was surprised:

Who warned you about my arrival?

Nobody, we just spend day and night at the factory...

Ordzhonikidze, like no one else, understood the power of the slogan “Cadres decide everything!”, and therefore, looking at the haggard faces of his subordinates, he ordered the construction of a rest home for Magnitogorsk workers. The location chosen was the relatively nearby Lake Bannoe. Each managerial employee of the plant had to rest there at least twice a month for at least two full days. The People's Commissar personally monitored compliance with this schedule!

Near Lake Bannoe there is a picturesque Krykty-Tau ridge, very rugged with gorges. Its peak Yamankaya is 943 meters, translated from Bashkir - Bad Hill. Bad from the point of view of shepherds - because there are few pastures here. In winter, the ridge is skied by skiers and snowboarders; there is a track here.

The names of the lakes are almost all fish. Karabalykty - Tench, Sabykty - Chebak, Syyuktykul - Pike.

There is also a mothballed mine on Bannoy, where manganese ores were mined during the war for MMK (Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works). In memory of those times, the name of the village Kusimovsky mine remained, which has now become a dacha settlement. In addition, there are outcrops of rhodonite - a beautiful pinkish ornamental stone. It is manganese that gives it this color.

Plast and Magnitogorsk. From Ufa - via Beloretsk. From Orsk and Orenburg - via Sibay. The roads, although not wide (usually one lane in each direction), are in excellent condition. But it should be taken into account that on some days (for example, at the beginning and end of weekends during the “high season” and good weather) traffic jams may form on the roads.

The highway encircles the lake in a complete circle, so you can get from Magnitogorsk to Banny in two ways - through Smelovsky or past the airport. By the way, Magnitogorsk airport, located nearby, allows guests from the most distant regions to conveniently and quickly get to Lake Bannoye.

Do you know why one of the most beautiful lakes in the Southern Urals is called that way? This is our note.

Lake Bannoe is located in the middle part of the Bashkir Trans-Urals between the peaks of Kutukai (664 m), Karanyalyk (620 m) and the spurs of the Yamankaya ridge, 28 km. northeast of the village of Askarovo, the regional center of the Abzelilovsky district of Bashkortostan, 45 km north of Magnitogorsk.

The first names given by local residents to the lake were Mauzzi - “bottomless, insatiable” or Ajakhaly, which means “lake in which a monster lives.” This name was associated with a legend that arose among the people, and is still chilling to this day. Legends that have come down to us from the depths of centuries tell that in ancient times the lake was surrounded by an impenetrable forest thicket, and it was ruled by terrible monster, which regularly stirred up the water in a huge reservoir. The animals were afraid to approach the shores of the lake to drink - its owner was afraid of being angry. Even the birds flying over the lake were pulled into its womb by the monster.

Another Bashkir name of the lake, known since the 16th century, is Yakty-kul, from the Bashkir “yakty” - “light”. Thus, translated from Bashkir it is “ Light Lake».

Popular rumor connects the emergence modern name lakes - BANNOYE - with Emelyan Pugachev. According to legend, in 1774 the Pugite army stopped here to wash themselves and staged a kind of "bath day" The name “Banne” has been known in written sources since the beginning of the 18th century; it was under this name that the lake became known and popular among vacationers. However, the indigenous name has not disappeared - on the southwestern shore there is a village called Yakty-Kul, and in all media and reference books in the Bashkir language the lake appears under its “true” name.

Lake Bannoe is rightfully considered one of the best freshwater reservoirs in the Bashkir Trans-Urals and is the deepest among similar lakes present in the territory of Bashkortostan. Geographically, the water body is located in the Abzelilovsky district of the republic - 220 km southeast of Ufa, 12 km from the western border with the neighboring Chelyabinsk region and 30 km northwest of Magnitogorsk.

It is interesting that after the founding of Magnitka, questions were repeatedly raised about the construction of a settlement on the shore of the lake for the resettlement of metallurgical plant workers, as well as about the laying of a railway track between the two points. But the project turned out to be unprofitable, so today you can only get to Banny by car. Instead of a workers' town, recreation centers and sanatoriums appeared here, and ski resorts appeared in the surrounding area. Today, the coast of the reservoir is considered almost a suburb of Magnitogorsk, despite the fact that the territory belongs to another federal district of the Russian Federation.

Sanatorium "Yubileiny" on Banny Lake

For several decades, the health resort of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works has been welcoming holidaymakers in need of medical and health procedures. The history of the sanatorium-preventorium began in 1933 with the construction of a hunting lodge on the shore of a reservoir, intended for recreation of the MMK management staff.

During the Great Patriotic War, barracks were erected on the coast for workers involved in the extraction of manganese ore for production needs. Later, the houses were equipped for recreation for the plant’s employees, in 1966 new buildings and a dining room were erected, and a year later the rest house began to be called “Yubileiny”. On its basis in 1979 a multidisciplinary sanatorium-preventorium was created.

Indications for stay in the institution are diseases:

  • musculoskeletal system;
  • of cardio-vascular system;
  • respiratory organs;
  • skin;
  • nervous system, etc.

Over the years of its existence, Yubileiny has expanded its territory to 35 hectares. Modern multi-storey buildings and cozy cottages appeared here. The medical base and infrastructure corresponds modern requirements. In addition to procedures, resort guests are offered a whole range of additional services, including organizing leisure activities and conducting excursion tours.

Sanatorium "Yakty-Kul"

Another famous health resort of Lake Bannoe offers treatment with sapropel mud. They have a beneficial effect on joints and damaged muscles, and have an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Resort guests receive exclusively “fresh” mud, which is an undoubted advantage of “Yakty-Kul”.

The sanatorium is proud of its radon department, equipped with a unique laboratory. An energy shower helps improve the functioning of the heart and blood vessels, and accelerate the recovery of muscle and bone tissue.

Ichthyofauna

  • Types of fish:
  • Artificial settlement: not all fish species living in the reservoir are local. In the past, the lake was stocked with carp, as well as peled and whitefish, which took root and formed broodstocks. A local breed of whitefish (a hybrid of Chud and Ladoga) was bred here, which was called the “whitefish of Lake Bannoye”. It is worth mentioning the small southern stickleback. This small fish is not found in the latitude at which the lake is located. In the last century, it was launched into a reservoir, where it successfully acclimatized. It is not known what goals the fish farmers had in mind, because the size of the stickleback is extremely small - only 6 cm, and its taste is so-so. It is quite possible that she could have been hooked up by accident. The only thing this fish is good for is the production of feed meal. Also, according to some information, fat can be rendered from it, but it is a very valuable product with a lot of useful properties.
  • Features of the ichthyofauna: The most common species in the lake are roach and perch. Bream and pike are slightly less densely distributed, whitefish and sterlet are found at greater depths, and tench are found in places with a muddy bottom and developed aquatic vegetation. Other fish are quite rare.
