Sandy beaches in Batumi. A complete guide to the beaches of Batumi and Adjara

In Batumi officially started in June tourist season. The city is unrecognizable. Somehow, plastic deck chairs suddenly filled the shore, lifeguards appeared in the booths.

Vacationers came from Poland, Turkey, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. There are vendors walking along the beach. They sell rubber slippers, cherries, khachapuri, rubber rings.

The only strain is the gypsies. Really intrusive. Yesterday, even in a restaurant, a girl climbed under our table. She felt her legs, asked for money. In spring and autumn, gypsies were only in the center near, and now they are found all over the boulevard.

Outside +24+27 , by feeling +30 when there is no wind. Sea somewhere +22+23С.

Changing cabin - 0.5 GEL

We had two girls visiting. They are in Batumi for the first time, so they could appreciate the resort with a fresh look. So, pebbles annoy those who do not feel very confident in the sea. Those who swim well are not particularly bothered by pebbles.

The way out is to buy rubber slippers on the first day. In special shoes, life will immediately sparkle with bright colors.

The best beaches in Batumi, my conclusions

The beaches of Batumi look no different. Large pebbles everywhere.

There is often infa on the net that the cleanest sea in Batumi is in the area of the Alphabet and Sculpture Tower Ali and Nino. I myself used to think so, even. It is a myth.

Yesterday we walked along the beach from Ali and Nino to San Remo cafe, swam in several places.

Near Ali and Nino there are comfortable sun loungers and beds. Music plays. That's where most people hang out. However, the stones in the sea are huge and slippery. The proximity of the port is affected. The entrance to the sea is inconvenient. The water, although clear, is still somewhat sticky.

There are also a lot of people between the pier with a cafe and the dolphinarium, but the sea leaves a double feeling. It looks clean, but something is wrong.

Here the sea seems to be ok, but not 5 points

We came to the conclusion that the best sea and entrance to the water in the area Cafe Sanremo. There are fewer people here, and swimming is pleasant.

Only there were too many screaming children this morning. But after 15-16.00 on the beach mostly young people.

A sun lounger costs 3 GEL, an umbrella is also 3 GEL.

It’s also good that there are no jet skis and boats here yet, as in other countries.

Sea in Batumi

I have repeatedly noticed that until 13.00-14.00 the sea in Batumi is clean and turquoise, and in the afternoon on some days a dark spot sails from the south.

You can clearly see how the color of the water changes. There is an unpleasant smell. Either the sewers are drained into the sea, or something else.

A strange spot appears on some days

Is the beach clean?

The boulevard and benches are washed with water. The beach is cleaned daily. Purely. But in the afternoon, the assholes come to the beach again, leaving behind bags, bottles and loaves of sausage.

In Georgia, it is not customary to drink alcohol on the street. Georgians drink in cafes or at a party, but not on the beach. But vacationers come off as best they can, and then they scatter the banks or leave the broken bottles behind. But this is rather an exception. A-ta-ta!

Cape Verde beaches

Our guests swam on the beaches of Batumi, Tsikhisdziri and Ureki. Yesterday we went to the botanical garden and swam. They said that in the end there is the best beach for them.

If you rent housing in, it is better to go to Cape Green than to go to Batumi. There are few people, green hills right by the shore, cafes work in the summer.

Ureki beach

At the moment it's awesome. Were the other day. The sea is warmer there than in Batumi. The sand is hot, it is impossible to stand (but it is comfortable to lie down). There are few people, the beach was removed for the season, the water is clean.

Almost nobody in Ureki in June

What fruits are sold?

In June they sell strawberries, cherries of 4 varieties, tkemali, medlar, mulberry.

Peaches, apricots, watermelons are not as juicy as in July-August, you have to wait.

Batumi intoxicates like new wine. It is the most international city in the country. Anyone who was in Batumi in the distant Soviet times will not recognize him now. A lot of money has been invested in the development of the city's tourism infrastructure. And the efforts were not in vain. Batumi surprises with ultra-modern hotels, beautiful embankments, and first-class service. But there is still a lot of hoary antiquity left in this city, which only attracts travelers. And what beaches in Batumi! Anyone who remembers the placers of small pebbles calcined by the sun will surely feel nostalgic for them on winter days. But the beaches in Batumi have also changed. They have become even more beautiful. Now you can enjoy them water sports sports. And in a sea as clear as a tear it is good to go diving. In this article we will consider the coast of the capital of Adjara.

Georgia, Batumi, beach

To be honest: in summer, tourists come to resorts for the sake of the sun and the sea. Yes, and it is difficult to overcome your laziness in the heat to go see the historical and cultural sights of Batumi. But you can enjoy young wine and Georgian cuisine regardless of the season. So, this article is for lovers of passive, "seal" rest. Here we will study the question: what are the most best beaches Batumi? It is not easy to answer it. After all, everyone has different preferences. But there is one beach that will satisfy all requests. It will be good here for divers, families with small children, glamorous beauties, and lovers of fun holidays near the water. You will be surprised, but this is a city beach, which is now called Batumi Beach in the American manner. Let's take a closer look at this coast.

Five reasons to choose Batumi Beach

The city beach is very long. It stretches along the sea for seven kilometers. In addition, the coastal strip of pebbles is quite wide - thirty meters. This avoids crowds even in high season. Batumi Beach - municipal, free. This is another reason to choose it over others. Since Batumi Beach stretches along the entire waterfront of the city, it is easy to get to it - no matter where you live. The beach infrastructure is well developed here. In any part you can find rental of sun loungers, deck chairs and umbrellas, which cost from two to four lari. The same can be said about nutrition. Intrusive food peddlers are not allowed here, but there are as many cafes on the embankment as you wish, and the prices in them differ little from those in the city. The beach is carefully cleaned: neither in the water nor on the pebbles you will see garbage. Entry into the water is very gentle, which is good for small swimmers.

Evening Batumi Beach

We mentioned that the city beach will appeal to all categories of vacationers. Indeed, its length naturally divides it into three zones. The center can be very crowded. But also fun! Catamarans, "bananas", water skiing and parachutes - all entertainment is at your service. Do you want peace and tranquility? Walk a hundred or two meters in the direction of the new boulevard. This zone also has everything you need for a quality holiday (beach equipment rental, changing cabins, showers, toilets, first-aid post), but there are much fewer people. And at the very end of the city embankment, a zone has been created for those who like to roast bones on large stones and sunbathe in relative seclusion. When guidebooks praise the beaches of Batumi, photos often show parties on the shore, at the very edge of the water. Every summer evening there really are discos with the attraction of the world. The most popular places on Batumi Beach are Coordinates 41/41, Prozac and Tarabua.

Cape Verde

This Batumi beach, popular with residents of the city, is located near the Botanical Garden. You can get to it by minibus number 31 (the fare costs sixty tetri). The bus leaves from the Boni market, and you need to go to the final stop. To the left of the main entrance to the Botanical Garden there is a paved path to the sea. You need to go three hundred meters - and you are on Cape Verde. This beach is small but very cozy. Flowers from the Botanical Garden permeate the air with their fragrance. The highlight of the beach is greenish, like an emerald, water. And, of course, the proximity of the Botanical garden, where it is pleasant to spend time on a hot afternoon. There are enough cafes nearby, and the prices in them are no different from the average in the city.

Gonio

This Batumi beach is eight kilometers away from the capital of Adjara. They can be easily overcome by city bus number 101 (leaving the center) or by taxi for twenty lari. The highlight of the beach is the presence of a historical landmark. You can come to the Gonio-Apsros fortress on an excursion, and only then go down any of the paths to the sea. Beach infrastructure in resort village much less than in Batumi Beach. On weekdays, the nearest neighbor will be tens of meters away from you. Gonio beach is free, but there are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. There is a bit of coarse pebbles here, but this is the only negative. And there are a lot of pluses: desertedness, recreation infrastructure, the cleanest sea and coast.

Kvariati

If you move further south from Gonio, then fifteen kilometers from the capital of Adjara, you can get to another Batumi beach. Kvariati is a satellite village. So everything you need is there. beach infrastructure. Many vacationers go to Kvariati, although many of the hotels there are located on a hillside. What attracts the beach in the resort village? First, the pebbles turn into sand here. Secondly, the only diving center in Georgia is located here. Thirdly, the restaurant is right on the beach. Fourthly, entertainment on the water for children and adults. And, most importantly, Kvariati has retained the charm of a provincial Georgian village. Therefore, the coast is very clean and prices are low.

Sarpi

From Kvariati to this village, if desired, you can walk along the edge of the sea. Only those who have a foreign passport with them can follow. Sarpi is bisected by the border. On Turkish side there is nothing special to see, but on the Georgian one there is a very beautiful pebble beach. It is surrounded by rocks, and one even sticks out of the water - you can dive from it. The infrastructure of Sarpi as a border point is very developed: there are ATMs, shops, etc. The journey by taxi will take only fifteen minutes, but will cost about fifteen dollars. On the minibus, you will spend more than half an hour on the road, but spend $ 1. There are enough hotels in Sarpi for every taste. The prices there are moderate: for two hundred dollars you can live in a double room for a week. An order of magnitude less will have to pay for guest houses. Fans of quiet and measured rest go to Sarpi.

By the river

All Batumi beaches are called pebbly. Except for one - Ureki. True, it is located fifty kilometers from the capital of Adjara. But they just need to be overcome to see this sand. It is black, but this is not its main highlight. The beaches of Ureki are formed by magnetite. This one creates its own force field of low intensity. Therefore, Ureki is a balneological resort where magnetic therapy procedures are carried out. The beach of the village stretches for five kilometers. True, it is not free everywhere. It is occupied by sanatoriums and first-line hotels, bungalows and restaurants. From the mainland, the beach is lined with eucalyptus and pine trees. The entry into the sea is very gentle here, as the bottom continues sand dunes. Ureki is considered a children's resort, and the entire infrastructure is aimed at entertaining small vacationers.

Things to Do in Batumi

Every year in July and August, Batumi is visited by world-famous stars, giving public concerts for tourists. This practice was considered the norm under Mikheil Saakashvili. The new authorities decided that this was a waste of money and stopped a promising undertaking. The arrival of such world stars as Sting, Luciano Pavarotti, Chris Botti and others contributed to the popularization of Georgia as a state attractive for tourists.

AT last years well-known artists also come to perform in Batumi. But now, to attend these concerts, tourists have to pay money from their own pockets.

The city has museums, theaters, places of worship of various religious denominations with centuries of history. travel companies offer excursions to the outskirts of Batumi and to the nearby regions of Georgia.

In the village of Gonio, guests of the Adjarian capital can visit the most ancient fortress country, the ancient Roman citadel, which is more than 2000 years old.

A beach holiday in Batumi will allow you to get a bronze tan and an unforgettable experience, and the sea is not at all black, very blue.

Solution of organizational issues

Housing. A trip to the sea in Georgia to the beaches of Batumi is a great solution, but it requires advance preparation. In Batumi, tourists have never been "under open sky", even in the "high season". If earlier the choice was small, and budget accommodation was compensated by the warmth and hospitality of the owners, now the issue of accommodation is easily solved. Inexpensive hostels, guesthouses, mid-range hotels, rented apartments and five-star hotels in large numbers await their visitors.

A budget option accommodation (accommodation from 20 to 35 GEL per person per day):

  • hostels that are located near the sea: accommodation is inexpensive, but the room will have to be shared with strangers;
  • guest houses - located on the outskirts of the city or in suburban villages: a little more expensive, but much more comfortable and do not have to share a room with strangers;
  • apartments and rooms in guest houses within a 15-30 minute walk from the sea coast are inexpensive, like in a hostel, many of them are quite comfortable.

Medium price option(50-250 GEL) :

  • apartments in new buildings;
  • rooms in local hotels that do not have star status;

Expensive option accommodation can provide such brands hotel business like Hilton, Sheraton, Radisson, etc. The cost is from 300 GEL and more.

In contact with

The beach holiday season in Georgia lasts from June to September. From mid-July and all of August, there are a lot of people and housing prices rise, but summer cafes on the beaches work, clubs are open.

Swim comfortably in the sea June 20th before October 10th, then the water temperature gradually decreases to +17+18С. Some people swim in May and at the end of October, but the sea is cold at this time, at least for me.

The ideal time to relax on the sea in Georgia is the second half of June (the sea has already warmed up, and the crowds of people have not arrived yet), September and first week of October. Sunny days, there are not so many vacationers, the sea is warm, the air warms up to +27 day, night +17+20 , there is no exhausting heat.

The rainiest months on the coast are November, February, March. In June, it can also rain - it’s just as lucky.

You can read more about the weather in different regions of Georgia (in Tbilisi, in the mountains, in Kutaisi, at sea) in my photo article:.

When is the sea warm in Georgia?

The warmest months for swimming in the sea in Georgia are July August and September. In June it is comfortable to swim in the 20th, at the beginning of the month it can be cool. Average sea water temperature:

May +16(minimum +12, maximum +20)

June +23(minimum +20, maximum +24)

July +26(minimum +24, maximum +27)

August +27.5(minimum +25.5, maximum +28.3)

September +25.5(minimum +25, maximum +26)

October +22(minimum +18.5, maximum +25)

The graph shows the average sea water temperature in Batumi, Ureki, Kobuleti, Sarpi:

Where is the clear sea in Georgia?

In the vicinity of Batumi, the cleanest sea is considered in the villages,. Located south of Batumi. Each has private housing and hotels, there are cafes on the beaches in the summer, there are a couple of mini-markets. Quiet, calm, if you get bored, you can hit the road to Batumi (by minibus 20 minutes).

To the north of Batumi, there is a clear sea in the area of the Botanical Garden on the beaches (cafes work on the beach in summer, there is one hotel and rooms in the private sector near the beach). Take a minibus 20 minutes from the center of Batumi.

The sea in Batumi is also clean and transparent

Sand on the beaches of Georgia

There are sandy beaches in Georgia in the villages (magnetic healing sands), in, (quiet places, you can live in the private sector in the forest). There is also sand in Poti, but there is no beach as such (a port city, the coast is dirty, the sea is also dirty).

Other beaches on the Black Sea coast in Georgia (Batumi and its environs, Makhinjauri, Chakvi, Tsikhisdziri) are covered with pebbles and stones, or rather large cobblestones. Lying on the rocks is uncomfortable, you don’t run much along the beach.

In summer, you can not sit on the rocks, but rent a sun lounger by the sea. Many people buy special rubber slippers to go into the water and walk along the beach.

There are also pebbles in Kobuleti, but with an admixture of sand and smaller than in Batumi. It is easier to enter the sea.

Sand in Ureki

Sand on the beach in Batumi happens only during strong storm when the sea washes away the cobblestones

What to choose - Batumi, Ureki, Kobuleti?

This is the most common question that cannot be answered. Firstly, all people are different, and secondly, these are three completely different formats of recreation. Batumi is a big city with entertainment, Ureki is a village with a black sandy beach, and Kobuleti is a kind of hybrid that comes to life in summer and sleeps at other times of the year. Therefore, it is better to choose a place to rest on your own.

Batumi- most Big City on the coast in Georgia. If civilization is needed, then this is definitely Batumi. Beautiful architecture of old Batumi, there is a boulevard, bike rental. Developed infrastructure: supermarkets, markets, restaurants, cafes, clubs.

Batumi is a big city

You can see a lot of things both in the city itself (singing fountains, cable car, zoo), and within a radius of 20-30 km. From Batumi it is convenient to travel by transport on your own on one-day excursions around.

Choose Batumi as a “base” if the beach is not your top priority. Still, the large size of the city, the port and the rivers flowing into the sea in Batumi affect the purity of the water. From Batumi, you can go swimming to neighboring villages if you don’t like the city beach.

City beach of Batumi in August
Batumi beach in november

By the river- in fact big village. In July-August it is lively here, even too much. Lots of people vacationing with children. There are playgrounds, water slides. There is a market and shops. The beach and the sea become dirty.

In other months, silence, even cafes and shops are closed. In the low season, the beach is relatively clean, the sea too. At the end of September, one cafe and a couple of shops worked, it’s good for people on the beach if there are 30 people.

There is nothing to see in Ureki, there is nowhere to go either. People come here exclusively for the sandy beaches. It’s a long way to drive to the main sights of Adjara, the mountains are also not nearby.

Road along the sea in Ureki

Kobuleti- a large settlement stretched along the sea. As for me, it is also a big village, but in size it is much larger than Ureki. The beach is pebbly.

There is an amusement park Tsitsinatela on the outskirts (10 km north of the center), in the summer there are cafes on the embankment, there is live music, and festivals are organized. There are places to walk with children.

I don't like Kobuleti. It's like going back to the past with broken roads and some kind of disorder. But I was in Kobuleti only in autumn. Perhaps in the summer the city leaves a different impression.

Housing in Kobuleti is on the first line from the coast behind the highway (noisy because of the road and expensive), on the second line it will be quieter and cheaper. The farther from the sea and from the city center, the lower the housing prices.

If infrastructure and civilization are not very important to you, but you just need nice beach, clear sea and peace, read the next section of this article - it says about good beaches.

Where to relax at sea in Georgia with children?

There is an excellent blog post on this topic about choosing a resort, food, entertainment for children: I recommend that you read it.

  • Ureki and Magnetiti- a large village on the Black Sea. Most popular place for holidays in Georgia with children. The advantage is that in Ureki there is a sandy beach, a slight depth, a gentle entrance to the sea.
    The downside of Ureki is that in July-August there are a lot of people and mosquitoes. Accordingly, large quantities of garbage appear on the beach, the water in the sea is muddy. In summer, there is a market, shops, and cafes. Housing - the private sector and several hotels. More

Ureki in low season
  • - 10 km south of Ureki. Black sand (such as in Ureki), coniferous forest, houses are at a distance from the highway, you can rent a room in a cottage in a private sector in a forest. Clean sea, few people, good beach (if vacationers do not throw garbage). On the beach there is a shower and toilet, you can put up a tent.
    The infrastructure is represented by a couple of cafes and markets with a minimum set of products. In the summer they bring fruit. You need to go to the market and shops in Kobuleti or Ureki.

  • - Another small village near Ureka. Sandy beach, forest near the sea, private housing and several hotel complexes. Cafes are open during the summer. In general, the infrastructure is poorly developed. There is a lot of rubbish on the shore, so I do not advise.
  • Kobuleti- an overgrown village, the second most popular resort on the sea in Georgia. There is a market, shops, station. Long embankment (10 km). The village is stretched along the sea. The beach is pebbly, in some places diluted with a small amount of coarse sand. Many people choose Kobuleti for holidays with children.
  • or - villages 10-15 km south of Batumi. The sea is clean there. Stone beaches, mountain views. In summer there are cafes, markets work, housing for rent in the private sector or in hotels. It makes no sense to go to these places during the low season.

Hotels by the sea in Gonio
  • Batumi as a place for a beach holiday - a dubious choice. Big city, port, stone beaches, the sea is not always clean because of sewage and rivers. It is worth going to Batumi only if swimming in the sea all day long is not a priority for you. More about our
    But in Batumi there are many places where you can take a walk and where to go with children: a 7 km boulevard along the sea (it’s convenient to walk with a stroller), the streets of old Batumi, a large number of parks, botanical garden. To Batumi beautiful architecture and developed infrastructure. There is a dolphinarium, playgrounds, a zoo, two lakes.

Kangaroo in Batumi

If you are going to Georgia for the beaches in high season(from June to mid-September), then it makes sense to consider small towns and resorts.

If your holiday falls on low season(from the 20th of September to May), then I recommend rent a house in Batumi.

In small resort villages, cafes and shops close during the low season - there may be food problems, and it’s just boring, because the sea is already cool until mid-June and from October, and walking around the city and enjoying it in Batumi is somehow easier (there is a boulevard for walking).

Batumi Boulevard

If you are going to Ureki and Kobuleti, then you can book accommodation in advance through booking for a couple of nights, and then look for something more suitable on the spot.

In the second half of July - August, prices are high everywhere and many good places busy, so it’s better to book in advance so that you don’t search on the spot in the heat, especially if you are with suitcases, children and without a car.

Residential buildings in Batumi

If you are traveling for 4-5 days, there is no particular economic benefit in looking for housing on the spot. Then it’s better to rent an apartment or a room via the Internet in advance, come and relax.

And if you are going for 2 weeks or a month, then you can spend time looking for housing on the spot. There are chances to find a cheaper apartment or room. You need to walk, look, bargain with the owner.

The price of housing in the private sector is not fixed, but depends on the weather, season, time of day, mood of the owner, your appearance and well-being (determined by the owner of the property by eye).

Private sector to Ureki

Nightlife in the resorts of Georgia

Batumi- the center of nightlife on the coast. In summer there are clubs, cafes on the beach, restaurants with live music. Casinos in Batumi are open all year round.

The second is relatively youth resort- this is Kobuleti. In July and August, clubs, cafes, and discos are also open here. Personally, I do not like Kobuleti for a number of reasons, but this is a matter of taste.

In other towns on the coast with nightlife tight, but during the season in almost every resort village summer cafes are open, sometimes even with live music.

Since mid-September, seasonal establishments on the coast (including in Batumi and Kobuleti) are closed, just a couple of clubs and dozens of cafes for locals remain open in Batumi. In Batumi, you definitely won’t stay hungry even in winter, but in others settlements is a big question.

Conclusion. Which village on the sea in Georgia to choose?

Thus, in order to choose a resort on the coast in Georgia that suits you, you need to decide on goals and priorities.

1. Civilization, asset, parties, architectural sights, entertainment, clubs, long walks along the sea, cafes with delicious food, food markets, supermarkets, dolphinarium, water park - this Batumi

2. If needed sand beach, and everything else is not so important, then the north of Kobuleti, Ureki, Shekvetili, Maltakva, Grigoleti

3. Most clean sea– Sarpi, Gonio, Kvariati, Green Cape, Tsikhisdziri, Shekvetili

4. Successful mix: rural tranquility (subject to renting housing in the right place), the presence of a market, shops, infrastructure, more or less clear sea and long embankment with a cafe - this is Kobuleti

Black Sea coast and sandy beaches Georgia is another reason to visit this small, hospitable country in the summer. Subtropical climate, many plants from all five continents. The opportunity to hide in the summer high in the mountains, where they reach in just an hour. Hospitable and helpful people, special cuisine, and most importantly, why do people go to the sea? sea beaches Georgia.

What are the beaches in Georgia

Most of the beaches of Georgia on the Black Sea coast are made of pebbles: small and large. There is also a unique sandy beach in the village of Ureki. The uniqueness of this beach is not that it is made of sand, and not even that the sand is black. The beaches of Georgia in Ureki are magnetic, i.e. mineral sand is mixed with magnetic iron ore (also in the form of sand).

Sandy beaches of Georgia are also found in the village of Grigoleti. Unfortunately, tourists who love to relax on the beaches of this beautiful village were disappointed in 2017. Most of the beaches with magnetic sand, similar to Urek, were covered with river pebbles. Since the pebbles had not yet been treated with water, they were sharp and not very clean. It's not so comfortable there. This year the situation has improved. You should know that at the beginning and end of the village, which stretches along the coast for ten kilometers, the sand has been preserved. And you can enjoy a pleasant holiday.

Where to go on a beach holiday in Georgia

In Georgia, tourists are expected by the beaches of cities:

  • Batumi - the sea capital of Georgia;
  • Kobuleti is a place where young people like to hang out;

and settlements:

  • Gonio - the ancient Roman citadel has been preserved in the village;
  • Kvariati - in this place the purest water;
  • Makhinjauri and Green Cape are relatively sparsely populated beaches;
  • Tsikhisdziri - sparsely populated beaches, rocky shores, grottoes;
  • Shekvetili - not crowded beaches of small pebbles turning into sand;
  • Ureki - magnetic sands;
  • Grigoleti - magnetic sands, pebbles, pine plantations on the shore;
  • Poti - sparsely populated sandy beaches at the entrance to the city, pebble beaches in the city;
  • Anaklia is a hangout place for teenagers, youth camps where youth festivals are held.

There are also villages located by the sea, where they also rest in peace and quiet.

To say that the Black Sea coast of Georgia is an ideal place for a beach holiday is a bit of an exaggeration. Of course, the coast of Georgia is far from European and island beaches Atlantic Ocean, they are also far from the Australian and Central American coasts.

Many large and small rivers flowing into the Black Sea, unfortunately, pollute both the coast and the water. This is noticeable in inclement weather. culture of behavior, local residents and tourists, diligently trying to stain the beaches and the area, also spoil the image of a beach holiday.

However, it will also be a mistake not to notice the improvement trend; every year the condition of the beaches and coastal areas is getting better.

Where are sandy beaches in Georgia

Batumi beaches

Batumi - the sea capital of Georgia. The main port of the country is located in the city. Batumi has the most developed tourism infrastructure. The beaches of Georgia in this city are clean, constantly cleaned, they are pebbly, very wide. A new equipped boulevard and city beaches stretch for two dozen kilometers along the coast. The reconstruction of the city was and is being carried out in accordance with European standards, there are bike paths and bike and scooter rentals. Walking down the boulevard, eating delicious national food, entertainment in the casino, admiration of the aquarium and the pupils of the dolphinarium, visiting museums and cultural events - a small part of the activities that tourists can indulge in, besides lying on the shore and sleeping, under the soothing sound of the surf.

Beaches of Kobuleti

Kobuleti is the second largest coastal city in Georgia. (Unfortunately, the once leading Sukhumi (Gagra, Gudauta and other cities of Abkhazia) ended up in territories not controlled by the Georgian authorities). Since Soviet times, Kobuleti, popular among tourists who prefer a beach holiday, has all the necessary data to be considered one of the best resorts:

  • There are many hotels and guesthouses in the city;
  • relatively inexpensive cost of renting rooms;
  • in cafes and restaurants you can eat deliciously;
  • there is always a place for you on a wide and long beach;
  • there is an opportunity to have fun, including bike rental, by the way, this is also the most comfortable view transport to move around the city.

Kobuleti is a comfortable tourist town, it is loved mostly by young people, so it is noisy there in summer, and there are a lot of people on the beach. Those who want to retire prefer to relax on the beaches outside the city, in the villages of Tsikhisdziri, Bobokvati, etc.
