TOURIST REVIEWS:

Royal resort of Hua Hin.

Hua Hin is one of the most respectable places in Thailand. Amazing here White sand, pure water and beautiful weather. Hua Hin is known as the Royal Resort, it is in Hua Hine located summer palace, a favorite vacation spot of the royal family. This place combines the luxury of huge hotels and the beauty of pristine nature. There are no nightclubs or bars in this resort, so Hua Hin has become a favorite vacation spot for couples with children.

The pride of Hua Hin can be considered a huge beach, almost 5 km long. This is one of cleanest beaches in the country. On the territory of the royal resort there are only high-level hotels, 4 and 5 stars. Golf is the most popular entertainment option here. Numerous golf courses located throughout the territory indicate that it is mainly gentlemen who relax here. The beaches have a lot of water activities, yachting, windsurfing, jet skis. Also in Hua Hin you can go horseback riding or elephant riding, go fishing or explore local attractions, residences of kings, waterfalls and National parks. A large number of temples amaze with their beauty. Here, in the Wat Neranchararama temple, the world's largest statue of the six-armed Buddha is kept.

We can safely say that Hua Hin the best place for an interesting, modern and at the same time relaxing holiday.

Prices for holidays in Hua Hin. March 2019.

tour cost

Plane tickets cost 33 thousand rubles per person. We came for two weeks. For December-March you need to purchase tickets in advance - in summer-autumn, prices are much higher closer to the dates.

Thailand - visa-free country for citizens of the Russian Federation. Upon entry, a stamp is placed for a stay of 30 days. It's free.

We flew to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Airport. Hua Hin is located 200 km south of the airport and can be reached in several ways: by bus, ticket price is about 600 rubles (local currency is Baht, but I will indicate in rubles for convenience) or by taxi, cost about 3500-4000 rubles one way . The journey is approximately 3 hours by taxi, 4 hours by bus. We chose a taxi because... the bus is on a schedule. We booked a taxi in advance from one of the companies, which was very convenient - we were met with a sign at the exit, quickly loaded and off we went. 3 hours later we were in Hua Hin.

This city has a large selection of hotels and apartments to suit every taste and budget. Prices start from 1400-1500 rubles per room in a small guesthouse.

We chose serviced apartments in Takiab area. The beach is a 5-minute walk, there are many cafes and sun loungers on the beach. Apartment rent was about 2,000 rubles per day. The price included cleaning once a week and utilities.

There are few attractions in Hua Hin itself. But there are places to travel around. We rented a car for a few days and drove around. The rental cost was about 2,000 rubles per day for a sedan. Driving is on the left, you definitely need an international license. We made them in advance in Russia. There are very few excursion agencies; there are not a single one that speaks Russian. We went to several zoos, to remote beaches, and visited several famous temples. All places are worth visiting.

Food and products

Prices for food, as in the case of hotels, vary greatly. Restaurants serving Thai cuisine are inexpensive: rice with chicken and pork are 50-70 rubles per serving, with seafood a little more expensive. We often went to the market to buy fruits and fish: grilled fish 200 rubles, pineapple 30-40 rubles per piece, mango 40 rubles/kg, but this is the price during the mango season (March-April). Imported products are expensive in Thailand, i.e. apples, cheese, wine are more expensive than in Moscow. Local beer good quality from 80 rubles per bottle, imported wine from 800-1000 rubles per bottle for more or less decent wine.

Souvenirs and other goods

The city is not very good for shopping. There are only two small shopping centers, but summer basic clothing and beach shoes can be found. Prices start at 200 rubles for a T-shirt or flip-flops. There is no point in buying equipment - the prices are the same as in Russia. This is not the first time we have been to Thailand and we always bring: Thai ointments - 200 rubles for a large jar, locally produced face masks - 50-100 rubles per package, dried mango - 100 rubles per package, inhalers - 30-40 rubles per piece, Crystal deodorants - 30-40 rubles apiece.

Hua hin thailand how to get from Bangkok or Pattaya. Since we often had to travel around like this and even move, I will tell you all the ways to get to Hua Hin.

Since we lived in Pattaya for the first year and a half, and then moved to Hua Hin, we had to travel frequently between Pattaya, Bangkok and Hua Hin, so today I will tell you about all the methods I know and share some secrets.

The distance from Bangkok to Hua Hin is 180 km. The road is good and flies by unnoticed, but on Fridays half of the capital rushes to the sea and instead of 3 hours you can drive all 5!

From Pattaya to Hua Hin

Previously, everyone traveled by minibuses with a transfer at Victoria Monument, but now all the minibuses there have been removed and a direct service has been launched. Now there are 2 great ways:

  1. A boat trip costs 1,250 baht per person. Travel time is only 2 hours. Departs every day at 13.00 from the main pier.
  2. You can take a bus from the North Bus Station in Pattaya, it costs 470 baht per person. The journey takes about 5 hours. On Friday and weekends the journey can take more than 7 hours.

How to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok

Bus

Bangkok Hua Hin buses depart from almost any bus station. Also, any bus that goes to Phuket will work for you, because it passes Hua Hin.

  • Khao San Road
  • Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai Bus Terminal)
  • Northern Bus Terminal (Mor Chit Bus Terminal)

Please note that there are buses that depart from Coassan Road. For many, this is the most convenient option because almost everyone stays there overnight, but these tickets almost always need to be booked in advance because they sell out quickly.

The second important link is the famous Bell service, which carries from airports. It is always better to order in advance; it is almost impossible to buy at the airport.

Buses leave from Mochit and Emakai bus stations every hour.

Some buses bring you to the bus station, and it is a few kilometers from the city, if you are brought there, then catch any minibus - it will take you

From the Northern Bus Station: one of the most inconvenient ways, because it is located far from the metro, in a completely non-tourist part of Bangkok. This is a completely typical bus station on the outskirts. They depart every hour, but due to the inconvenient location of the station, this method makes no sense. By the way, this is why I do not recommend the Hua Hin - Bangkok Bus, it can take you to a bus station from which you can only get out by taxi.

I spent about 15 minutes looking for the right stand.

Another regular bus runs from Hua Hin; tickets are sold at Gate No. 8 on the ground floor. You can view the schedule and book seats in advance on their official website: http://airporthuahinbus.com/. It’s worth doing this, because I’ve never been able to drive away in it; it was always packed.

Bus ticket counter at the airport

Transfer from Bangkok to Hua Hin - the most convenient way with children and suitcases

Transfer from Bangkok to Hua Hin can be ordered at any airport. Bangkok Hua Hin transfer price is 2500 baht from Suvarnabhumi Airport. You can order it on the ground floor, where there are several official taxi stands. For those who are traveling for the first time, I would like to note that these are not our private operators who are jacking up prices, but the official one, so it makes no difference whether you pay for the transfer directly at the airport or go to the city to catch another taxi.

On the other hand, you can order online, the price will be the same. But at the airport you will be met and immediately taken to your car. On the plus side, you can pay in rubles using a card (without double conversion to baht at the airport), and you also don’t have to queue for a taxi (usually about 15 minutes)

The Bangkok Hua Hin train is the most romantic way

The Bangkok Hua Hin train costs only 100 baht and arrives at the most beautiful and ancient railway station in Thailand. In Hua Hin there is a royal railway platform, which was opened in 1911 and is still in operation. You will find it in any city guide. It really looks very original, there is a small museum of the king inside, and there is also one of the best coffee shops in the city, where very tasty brewed coffee costs only 70 baht. In addition, the station is located in the very center and you can easily reach guest houses, beaches and other hotels.

But there is also a big minus - the train from Bangkok Hua Hin takes a whole 5 hours, which is simply very long, so we have never traveled on it, but if you ask a Thai, then for them to come to the royal station is a very honor and they will choose exactly this way. If you still decide, the Bangkok – Hua Hin train departs from Hua Lampong Station; the schedule can be easily viewed on the station’s website

Minibus from Victoria Monument (no longer available - everyone has been dispersed)

For me, the most convenient way to get to Hua Hin is with minibuses from Victoria Monument. They cost 180 baht per person, the journey takes 2.5 - 3 hours.

Victoria Monument is a place where you can go anywhere in Thailand. There are hundreds of small companies here with identical minibuses, which come out of different gateways and garages every second, so there is an eternal traffic jam here. It’s quite difficult to find your way for the first time, since companies in certain areas are usually located in one place (but try to find it first).

I always land near Century - The Movie Plaza, it's right next to the BTS station so don't miss it. By the way, a small bonus: In this shopping center on the second floor there is a Pizzeria Buffet, this is when you pay 200 baht and can eat as much as you want. There, in addition to standard soups, appetizers and meat, they constantly bring you different pizza for 2 hours! Just don't go there at lunchtime, because... all the locals go there and there will be no empty seats from 13.00 to 15.00, and the rest of the time it is free.

All minibuses have been removed, the method is no longer relevant

This shopping center has minibuses and delicious pizza inside.

By plane to Hua Hin Airport (the airport is closed to passenger aircraft)

Hua hin airport this moment closed for regular flights, only military aircraft and a pilot training base remain there. Also, the king himself flies to it, because his active palace is located in Hau Hin and he rests there quite often. This does not affect the ordinary life of the city; it can only be noticed by the reinforced police presence at the palace.

Moreover, at the moment the Thai authorities have no plans to develop this resort town, because... It is already overcrowded, so flights are unlikely to resume any time soon.

From Hua Hin to Bangkok

In fact, all the methods described above work in reverse direction, so I will only write the features and how to get to the bus stations.

Minibuses come from the center and arrive at bus stops in Bangkok. This is the fastest and most convenient way, but if you need to, then it is not very convenient. There are buses that go directly to the airport, they depart from the bus station, tickets can be bought online: https://airporthuahinbus.com/. Well, Bell service too. True, there is always a problem getting to this station, because it is far from the center, they say that there is a green tuk-tuk going there, but not always.

Allow 3-4 hours for the road, but if you go during rush hours, then 5 hours.

Most Thais come to Hua Hin in Thailand for a romantic and relaxing holiday. This city became popular about 100 years ago when royalty and wealthy people came to Hua Hin for their summer holidays. And as a result, the city of Hua Hin now has countless beautiful beachfront houses, villas and some attractive vintage summer palaces.

In this article I will tell you about the Hua Hin resort in Thailand, where Hua Hin is located, how to get to Hua Hin and what to see in Hua Hin.

Hua Hin: where is it located?

Hua Hin Thailand is located just 2.5 hours from Bangkok. He is one of the most popular resorts for residents of Bangkok. They love to come here on weekends.

The Hua Hin beach itself is ordinary, not as beautiful and impressive as the famous resorts in the south of Thailand - or Krabi. But thanks to the fact that Bangkok is nearby, this beach remains in demand all year round.

As mentioned, many Thais come to Hua Hin in Thailand for the weekend. Therefore, on weekdays Hua Hin is relatively calm. But on weekends the number of people in the city increases several times.

To accommodate this crowd of tourists, there are many hotels and guesthouses in Hua Hin. Expensive options offer excellent service and sea views. For lovers of a budget holiday, there are modest options away from the beach.

The city of Hua Hin in Thailand is still beach resort, which means all beach activities are available here. In addition to lazy relaxation by the sea or pool and activities aquatic species sports, in Hua Hin you can see all sorts of attractions. We'll talk about this below.

How to get to Hua Hin in Thailand

Everyone, almost everyone, who visits Hua Hin comes from Bangkok. Not surprising, because this is the closest seaside resort to the capital of Thailand.

Travel time by bus from Bangkok to Hua Hin is about 3 hours. It takes about the same time to get from Bangkok to Pattaya. Only Pattaya is located on one side of Bangkok, and Hua Hin is on the other.

Russians go to Pattaya, and Thais go to Hua Hin. This is the division here. The beach in Hua Hin, by the way, is much cleaner in Pattaya.

From Bangkok to Hua Hin

The most popular way to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok is by bus. Buses to Hua Hin depart from Victory Monument Station. Bus fare from Bangkok to Hua Hin starts from 180 baht.

Like everywhere else in Thailand, Hua Hin has a real cult of food. She is here at every step and in every form. In addition to street food, Hua Hin has a huge selection of restaurants.

I visited a restaurant called Lung Ja Seafood restaurant and although I didn't plan on it, I ended up ordering the lobster.

If you're looking for local flavor, you can find it on the street opposite the night market. It serves a variety of Thai dishes such as jok ( jok) - rice porridge, khao mu daeng ( khao moo daeng)- red pork and rice and khao man kai ( khao man gai) - Rice with chicken.

On weekend evenings, another night market opens on the outskirts of Hua Hin. And now some information about the attractions of Hua Hin.

Sam Roi Yot and Tham Phraya Nakhon National Park (Khao Sam Roi Yot)

It is fashionable to diversify your holiday in the city of Hua Hin by visiting an interesting national park. Lives here a large number of wildlife including deer, macaques and Asian goat antelopes. One of the most popular attractions is Tham Phraya Nakhon, a cave with an opening through which it is illuminated by sunlight.

Location: 60 km south of Hua city Hin.

Kaeng Krachan National Park, Phetchaburi

Kaeng Krachan is considered the largest national park in the Kingdom of Thailand. It occupies 2,915 sq. km. The park has many natural attractions such as waterfalls, caves, lakes and reservoirs.

The park itself has camping areas and hotels. It was last number on the list of attractions in Hua Hin, but far from the last among what is worth seeing in Thailand.

The charming, tranquil resort of Hua Hin attracts tourists with its clean sandy beaches, pineapple groves and crystal clear sea. This place is the oldest resort in Thailand, as was already known in 1920. Thanks to the well-developed tourism infrastructure, high level of service and picturesque landscapes, the resort is very popular. Night life there is practically no tourism here, so a holiday in Hua Hin is perfect for couples with children or older tourists.

Hua Hin on the map of Thailand

Hua Hin is located 280 kilometers from Bangkok. Geographically, the resort is located on the opposite side of the famous Pattaya. On the map you can see that the resort consists of two islands connected by a bridge. There are two main streets in Hua Hin - Petchkasem Highway, which runs along the coast, and Damnoenkasem Street.

Hua Hin Hotels

Accommodation for tourists in Hua Hin is mostly represented by hotels, the prices for rooms are considered slightly higher than at other resorts in the country. Despite this, you can always find inexpensive room in local hostels and guesthouses, of which, unfortunately, there are not many. Most of the hotels are located along coastline, but there are also those that are located at a decent distance from the beaches.

It is worth noting that Hua Hin is popular place For wintering, as a rule, many come here for several months. Therefore, there is always the possibility of renting housing, which can be done at home via the Internet, or you can do it while on vacation in Hua Hin. The latter option is much more convenient; you can immediately examine several options on the spot and choose the most suitable one.

Beaches of Hua Hin

Perhaps the main advantages of all the beaches of the resort are that they are not crowded, clean and peaceful.

City Beach, which has total length almost 6 kilometers, characterized by clean white sand and shallow coastal waters. The main entrance to the beach is at lane 61 soi. The only McDonald's in Hua Hin will help you get your bearings.

On the way to the beach, tourists can visit the open market, where you can buy everything that will make your stay on the beach more comfortable, from swimsuits to air mattresses and umbrellas.

Various cafes and eateries are scattered throughout the beach, where you can always eat and enjoy delicious food. soft drinks. Fans of active recreation will be able to ride banana boats and water scooters.

Kao Takiab Beach located immediately behind monkey mountain, at which the city beach ends. The sand on this beach is black, which does not really attract foreign tourists. Thanks to this, prices here are much lower for both food and water activities. The beach area is quite shady and spacious.

Suan son- magnificent, practically wild beach, located on the territory military base famous for its picturesqueness. Here is the kingdom of centuries-old pine trees and peaceful silence. It is better to take food and beach mats with you. On weekends the situation changes dramatically as the beach fills up local residents who love to relax here with children.

Sai Noi Beach considered a real pearl among the surrounding beaches. A small cozy lagoon, surrounded on both sides by picturesque mountains. On one of the hills rises an ancient temple and a statue of a seated Buddha made of gold. While relaxing on this beach, you can perfectly combine swimming with a visit to such an ancient shrine, where you can climb the stairs.

Sights of Hua Hin

The main attraction of the resort can be safely called its provincial atmosphere, which charms and makes you forget about the hustle and bustle and everyday life. But there are also really interesting places to visit. For example, Railroad station Hua Hin is considered the most beautiful building in Thailand.

It was the construction of the station that allowed the city to develop and become what it is today. One of the features of the station is that at the beginning of the 20th century, the Royal Waiting Hall was erected next to the main building, where members of the royal family spent time waiting for the train.

Wat Ampharam Temple

This temple is the main shrine of Hua Hin. The temple is not a masterpiece of religious architecture; it is a completely ordinary building. However, its practical use is very important. Wat Ampharam is at once a monastery, a temple, a cemetery and a crematorium.

Every visitor can visit the temple, regardless of what faith he belongs to. Every morning, near the temple, monks in saffron or red robes accept donations from residents.

Hua Hin Safari & Adventure Park

A few kilometers from the resort center there is a beautiful amusement park, which also known as the elephant village. Visitors can ride ATVs, ride a horse, play paintball, and watch snake and crocodiles shows. However, the main highlight of the park are the elephants.

Young elephants play the harmonica, draw and give massages. Also, anyone can ride on an elephant, but it is worth noting that this pleasure is expensive.

Sam Roi Yot National Park

It will be interesting to visit this place both big and small, since the park includes several interesting attractions. It was founded in the 60s of the last century and occupies an impressive area of 98 square kilometers. On its territory there are caves, mountains, beaches, temples, and of course, magnificent exotic flora and fauna.

It would be better if you set aside 2-3 days to visit the park. To explore it, you can rent a vehicle, since the park itself is located 50 kilometers from Hua Hin. However, if desired, this can be done with a group of tourists by purchasing a tour.

The resort has been little studied by our compatriots. But despite this, tourists believe that this is a great place for family vacation, as well as people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of popular resorts in Thailand. However, there are also disadvantages - without knowledge in English it will be difficult for you to communicate with the local population or hotel staff.

Read - the unknown pearl of Thailand. Overview of the beaches and natural attractions of the resort.

We have collected all the information about Phuket Airport. Come in and apply.

On the page you will learn the benefits of coconut and its calorie content, as well as instructions for opening the fruit.

There are no problems with food; local cafes and restaurants offer a wide selection of dishes from both local and European cuisines. Many of the catering establishments have night buffets where you can not only eat, but also enjoy a performance of classical Thai dance.

As in other cities of exotic countries, you should behave very carefully in Hua Hin. Especially when visiting various crocodiles and snake farms, where for greater safety it is better to avoid feeding and other contacts with their inhabitants.

Some photos from Hua Hin resort

At a distance of 25 kilometers from a place called Cha Am there is the resort of Hua Hin. It is famous for its five-kilometer white sand beach and countless golf courses. There are several hotels here, built in the English style, full of grace, which are in perfect harmony with the splendor of the resort’s nature. You should definitely choose a holiday in Hua Hin, Thailand.

This resort can be considered one of the oldest resorts in the country. A hundred years ago, construction of a palace began here, which later became the summer residence of the king of the country. This palace is still one of the favorite vacation spots of the royal family. In Hua Hin, all hotels are upscale. Basically they all have 4 or 5 stars. We can say that tourists relax here, preferring a comfortable relaxing holiday, secluded from the bustle of the city. The absence of noisy parties at night attracts couples with children to these places.

This place is very easy to get to from Bangkok. The journey by car usually takes approximately 3.5 hours. You can also take the train or bus. Both types of transport are usually equipped with air conditioning. The journey takes the same 3.5 hours, and the ticket will cost you 250 baht.

Among the most famous and most popular hotels are the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, located in the central part of the city, Devasom Hua Hin Resort, which is located on a private beach, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, more suitable for families and children, and Centara Grand Beach Resort& Villas Hua Hin, which is also located in the central part of the resort. The price of a room in these comfortable hotels ranges from 3,000 baht to 5,000 baht per night.

There are also budget hotels in the city with air conditioning and hot water. Rooms in such hotels will cost you from 300 baht per day. The cost of accommodation in guesthouses for two starts from 700 baht per night.

The tropical climate affects how much a holiday in Hua Hin costs. Therefore, there is a rainy season, a cool season and a hot season. The best weather for holidays in this place is from the beginning of winter until the beginning of April. But you must understand that a holiday here during the high season will cost you a lot. Therefore, you should not refuse a holiday in Hua Hin during the rainy season. The rains here at this time of year are short and only fall at night.

What to take with you?

Packing luggage for a holiday abroad is a very responsible matter. The most important thing is to prepare everything Required documents, as well as several copies of photocopies. It is best to distribute the copies different places, but so that they are always at hand. Other required documents include health insurance. It is better not to save on its cost. Anything can happen on a trip. Do the same with air tickets. You need to print them out and make several copies, placing them in different parts of your luggage.

Be sure to pack a first aid kit. Stock up on medications to reduce body temperature and medications that relieve food poisoning. Don't forget to bring your camera, flash drive, charger, batteries, etc.

What to see?

The first thing a tourist should visit in Hau Hin is the palace of the Klai Kwong royal family, as well as a religious temple called Wat Neranchararama. This temple is famous for having the largest statue depicting Buddha with six arms.

Among the natural attractions and interesting places Among them are waterfalls and national parks and the city of Phet Buri, where excursions go to visit temples, palaces and the Khao Luang cave, where there are almost two hundred Buddha statues.

If you prefer leisure, then on the beaches you will be offered to ride a yacht or water scooter, windsurf or go horseback riding. Golf is actively developing in this region. There are several golf clubs, many golf courses, and training courses on this game are organized.

Other activities include eco-tours, fishing, elephant riding, kiteboarding, a variety of resort water activities, karting and more.

Those who like to relax and spend time at the spa will also like it here. The question of how much this entertainment costs should not worry vacationers. Prices for spa services here are very affordable. At the same time, you will be offered both regular Thai massage and more modern procedures, detox courses, alternative medicine, and skin cleansing procedures.
